ARTHUR, Weekdays 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
This half–hour animated series shares how Arthur and his friends use effective, age–appropriate problem solving skills. Each episode consists of two independent stories focusing on themes and events central to children’s lives. Whether facing down a bully, worrying about a new teacher or being the very last person on earth to lose his baby teeth, Arthur and his friends manage to solve their crises with imagination, kindness and lots humor.
Intended Audience: PreKl-3


AUTO-B-GOOD, Sundays 8:30 a.m.
Children enter a world where their imaginations can come to life. In this wonderful world of cars in the city of Auto, the adventures of this lovable group of cars teach children how to use their imaginations.
Intended audience: PreK-1


THE BERENSTAIN BEARS, Weekdays 8 a.m.
Based on the best-selling book series, The Berenstain Bears is a charming comedy celebrating furry family values and good old fashioned Bear Country living.
Intended Audience: Grades 1-3


BETWEEN THE LIONS, Weekdays 1:30 p.m.
The series is named for a family of lions -- Theo, Cleo and their cubs Lionel and Leona -- who run a library like no other on earth. Each episode centers on a book or other written material that the lions and their friends discover in the library. The series combines innovative puppetry, animation, live action and music to achieve its educational mission of helping young children learn to read. An unusual cast of supporting characters help transform the sometimes confusing process of learning to read into an entertaining adventure for young children and their families.

THE BIG COMFY COUCH, Weekdays 12:30 p.m.
The Big Comfy Couch is the safe, cozy place for preschoolers to learn about the world around them. This acclaimed, award-winning series shares a child's point of view and provides a playful environment for fun and discovery. In the clown world, there's spontaneity and lack of pretense. This series features an engaging mix of lovable characters led by Loonette, the young energetic clown, and her best friend Molly the Doll. Together with her friends, Loonette learns through games, stories and other imaginative activities that lead to important lessons such as sharing, caring for others, and cooperation.

BOB THE BUILDER, Sundays 8 a.m.
Bob and his construction machine friends face many problems they must solve together. Bob and his friends make problem-solving fun and exciting.

CAILLOU, Weekdays 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m.
This series chronicles the challenges of 4 year–old life one adventure at a time. It blends animation and live–action segments featuring Caillou, real kids and puppets to create a charmingly original half–hour. With humor, young logic and brilliant flashes of imagination, Caillou makes sense of the world and helps young viewers do the same. Each episode briefly illustrates another step in children’s cognitive and affective development. Themes include: being alone, complex emotions, growing up, language, gender, the family, holidays and the seasons. Even though the subject matter may seem complex, these themes have been presented in a straightforward, uncomplicated manner.

CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG, Weekdays 6:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m.
Based on the Scholastic Book series by Norman Bridwell, Clifford is an animated preschool social series that shares the big learning adventures of Clifford the dog, his loving “human” Emily Elizabeth, and dog pals T–Bone and Cleo. This series emphasizes good citizenship and the importance of community. Through the character of Clifford, whose heart is as big as he is, children absorb gentle lessons about acceptance and inclusion. It is Clifford’s ‘every dog’ kindness that has made him a beloved icon with children and parents, for more than 39 years.

CYBERCHASE, Weekdays 4:30 p.m.
Cyberchase is an animated adventure series for children, about a team of kids on daring missions in Cyberspace. To save the day, our heroes have to use MATH and BRAIN POWER. This series helps children discover that math is fun and something we experience everyday. The show helps kids feel successful, since they can be as good at math and problem solving as the Cyberchase kids. Jackie, Matt and Inez, along with Motherboard, Dr. Marbles and Digit must try and defeat Hacker, a power hungry scoundrel intent on taking over Cyberspace. The Cyberchase kids are normal, everyday kids. With no special powers and no superior math skills, they perform heroic deeds in times of great stress. What they have is what every kid has: the ability to reason and apply what they know to solving the problems that face them.

DRAGON TALES, Weekdays 7 a.m.
This animated series chronicles the adventures of six year-old Emmy and her four year-old brother Max; who discover a magic dragon scale in the playroom of their new home. When they hold the scale and chant a poem, they’re transported to Dragon Land, an enchanted land where they meet Ord, Cassie, Zak, Wheezie and Quetzal -- fantastical dragons that possess very human qualities. Through its stories, the series demonstrates different ways children can explore the emotional, physical, cognitive and social challenges they face. Dragon Tales encourages children to pursue challenging experiences that support growth and development and to understand that to try and succeed fully is a natural and valuable part of learning.

GEORGE SHRINKS, Weekdays 1 p.m.
George Shrinks celebrates the power of being small. George may only be three inches tall, but that's not a problem. He never sweats the small tasks or shies away from challenges. This creative character helps youngsters understand the importance of self-acceptance, and encourages individuals to use the means available to them to solve problems and overcome obstacles. The topics covered by this program include biology, botany, entomology and ecology. These topics help foster an interest in science by highlighting the fun side of learning.
Intended Audience: PreK– 3


JAKERS AND BOOBHAH, Weekdays 9:30 a.m.
This series takes children on an exciting series of adventures designed to help children master the social skills they need every day.

MISTER ROGERS' NEIGHBORHOOD, Weekdays 11 a.m.
Mister Rogers talks in a way young children understand, at a pace they can absorb, and with a consistency that creates a calm, safe place for preschoolers. Topics with sensitive emotional concerns are always carefully blended with fun and whimsy to match a young child’s interests and level of understanding.

READING RAINBOW, Weekdays noon
Reading is a wonderful adventure. That is the message in every Reading Rainbow programs. The series is based on the premise that the optimum time for learning to read, wanting to read, and loving to read is when a child is young. With its child-friendly format, it uses books to take viewers to real settings, including an erupting volcano in Hawaii, the coral reef in Florida and the lights of Broadway. The series also provides a diversity of positive role models by focusing on a variety of culturally and ethnically diverse women and men in work and expert roles. This critically acclaimed series motivates children to discover books and to read for the joy of it.
Intended Audience: Grades 1–3


SESAME STREET, Weekdays 10-11 a.m.
Sesame Street is a place where learning about letters, numbers, shapes and colors combine with lessons of tolerance and courage. Now in its 32nd season on PBS, the series has received more than 100 awards, including multiple Emmys, two Peabodys, four Parents’ Choice Awards and an Action for Children’s Television Special Achievement Award.

PLAZA SESAMO, Sundays 6:30 a.m.
Plaza Sesamo
is designed for preschoolers and serves as a unique viewing opportunity for families in households where parents often do not speak English. It is also a valuable tool for helping children learn, improve or retain their Spanish. The series teaches health and safety, literacy, shapes and numbers.

TELETUBBIES, Weekdays 9 a.m.
This series is the first program specifically designed for children from the age of one year. The Teletubbies Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa–Laa and Po are four technological babies who love each other very much and live happily together in their own world of childhood imagination. It is designed to nourish young children’s thinking skills, teach them to listen, help to build their curiosity, expand their imagination and increase their confidence.

THOMAS & FRIENDS, Sundays 9 a.m.
Delightful, charming, whimsical -- all words that describe Thomas and his train friends. Thomas' adventures are designed to stimulate children's imaginations, help them deal with everyday problems, and explore emotions in a positive way.

ZOBOOMAFOO, Sundays 9:30 a.m.
This groundbreaking, energetic series created by the Kratt brothers was designed especially for preschoolers. This series is all about that moment of discovery when a child meets an animal for the first time. Using music, songs and sounds from around the world, the series teaches children how to respect and care for the animals. Zoboomafoo features a lively mix of formats to create the kind of fun and energetic learning environment that has become the Kratt brothers’ signature style.

ZOOM, Weekdays 2 p.m.
Created for kids by kids, ZOOM is a new version of the Emmy Award-winning 1970’s PBS children’s show. The new series features games, plays, science experiments and other activities based on contributions sent in by kids from across the country. The series combines the irreverent, insightful and playful spirit of the original series with new energy and technology.
