ArkansasIDEAS primarily serves Arkansas educators by providing online, ADE-approved professional development courses. Courses include video-based trainings, assessments, and relevant resources, with certificates becoming available upon completion. Built by Arkansas educators, for Arkansas educators, our courses are tailored to the needs of our state and are aligned with TESS domains and applicable to a variety of subject areas and grade levels.
Please remember that, while our courses are ADE-approved, professional development credit is awarded solely at the discretion of your local school district.
ArkansasIDEAS's team of licensed educators and technology specialists offer a variety of face-to-face trainings and professional development workshops.
- ArkansasIDEAS: Overview of our Learning Management System (LMS)
- ArkansasIDEAS Resources, including access to Lynda.com
- Overview of PBS Resources, including PBS LearningMedia and PBS TeacherLine
With advanced notice, we also can provide a facilitated version of any course available on the ArkansasIDEAS LMS.
Any of the above workshops can be customized to meet the unique needs of your school or district. Upon request, our team can also create trainings other than what is listed above. All face-to-face professional development sessions are free of charge and may be conducted at AETN or on-site at a location of your choice.
To request a training, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Webinars introduce educators to the features, services, and benefits of ArkansasIDEAS, AETN, and PBS resources without the burden of travel. Webinars can be viewed through your computer or mobile device.
If you would like to register for a webinar, please email email@example.com and indicate which webinar you are interested in scheduling. We schedule webinars during our normal business hours of Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
Notice: Professional development credit for the following webinars is not available from ArkansasIDEAS, but can be awarded by the school district or educational cooperative.
AETN continues to provide blended professional learning services for educational agencies and organizations across the state, including the live streaming of some face-to-face workshops. We are now rolling out blended learning support to school districts in the form of facilitated training resources for local professional development facilitators.
Starting with the video segments from our Science of Reading learning path, administrators and PD facilitators can now access, in one place, all of the training materials needed to utilize select ArkansasIDEAS courses for local school and district professional development sessions.
