Arkansas Technology Institute (ATI)

Arkansas Technology Institute (ATI) is five days of intensive technology training structured to show participants how to use technology in everyday classroom activities. Workshops will explore various technologies and options for their use in the classroom.

Participants will work in teams and learn how to use software like PowerPoint and FrontPage, along with production equipment such as digital cameras and light kits. They will learn how to write and tape a production and edit it on Adobe Premier software. These projects are presented to the class at the end of the week and are then published on the web. With five days of intensive training in a technology-rich environment, educators will participate in:
• Hands-on technology activities
• Curriculum-related instruction
• Train-the-trainer model instruction

Graduates will:
• Leave with 30 hours of professional development and a project you can use in the classroom
• Have their project posted to the institute Web site
• Become a certified institute trainer
